Module 4
Some guidelines to more effective 'Time Management'
Notes
• Learn to judge our work by results and not time spent.
• The heart of time management is management of one self.
• A task will always be completed sooner if it has a deadline
than if it does not.
• Do one thing at a time and finish it. Do not jump from one job
to another.
• The most urgent task is not always the most important one.
• Do not complain of having to clean up after everyone when
you over-use the phrase 'Let me do it'.
Some "time wasters"
• Poor information
• Telephone interruptions
• Other interruptions
• Unscheduled meetings
• Lack of priorities
• Attempting more than one thing at the same time
• Unrealistic deadlines
• Procrastination
• Inability to say "No"!
• Blaming others
