Module 4
7. Summary
Notes
We refer to the individual employee's tasks/activities as the 'action'
component of the company's goals/objectives which, in turn, are
based on the company's mission statement.
A company work schedule would need to comprise information
consisting of identification of the various tasks/activities carried out in
the company and the names of the employees who would be
responsible for carrying these out (as stated in their job
descriptions).
The 'roster' could be done separately or be formulated as part of the
schedule and must contain information as already stated in the work
schedule, plus the deadline dates for completion of all of these tasks
and the names of the employee/s who would be held accountable to
meet these deadlines.
Because changes will occur from time to time during business
operations, priorities, deadlines and names of employees concerned
would change as and when these changes are adjusted on the work
schedule/roster. It is for this reason that the internal company
communication network must at all times be open in all directions
and/or levels within the company.
It is imperative that any changes made to a work schedule be
carried out timeously by management/supervisors concerned, and
employees affected to be informed of these changes. E
