Introduction
This means that you will use the portfolio to record all the evidence
that is relevant to the outcomes of the AdvDip qualification. Theme 1
will cover issues around evidence and provide guidelines on how to
select evidence that is relevant to these outcomes. The qualification
also makes allowance for the use of other forms of assessment,
such as self-assessment, assessments by peers and tutors, as well
as on-site verification of practical management competence.
The submission of both Parts I and II of your portfolio, is the
equivalent of an examination and an integral part of the formal
assessment process to qualify for the ADE in School Leadership
and Management.
Assessment of and promotion for the PPWP 700 module is done on
the following basis:
• It is COMPULSORY TO SUBMIT YOUR PORTFOLIO FOR
ASSESSMENT TWICE; that is:
o At the end of the second cycle (irrespective of which intake
you are – consult the Admin Booklet for the date) PART I of
the portfolio is submitted for formative assessment.
The mark obtained constitutes the formative feedback on
PART I of the PPWP 700 portfolio that counts 25% towards
your promotion mark.
o At the end of the fourth cycle (irrespective of which intake
you are – consult the Admin Booklet for the date) PART II
of the portfolio is submitted for summative assessment.
